Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has said that if there is no agreement on the selection of the Central Committee and office bearers, they will go to the polls following the democratic process.

Speaking in a closed session, Prachanda said that they are trying to reach a consensus but they are also ready for the election if they could not choose the office bearers by consensus.

The Central Committee and the office bearers have been given time till 5 o’clock to reach a consensus. If there is no agreement within the stipulated time, the election committee has decided to move the process forward and go to the polls.
