Machhindra Club in AFC Cup selection

Machhindra Club, which has secured the top spot in the seventh round of the ongoing Martyrs’ Memorial A Division League, will play in the AFC Cup qualifiers for the first time.

Machhindra Club is at the top of the competition with 17 points after a 1-0 victory over Nepal Police Club in the Martyrs’ Memorial A Division League match played at Dasharath Stadium today. Manang Marsyangdi, which was in the first position, has dropped to the second position with 16 points. Nepal Police Club is limited to 6 points.

Manang Marsyangdi has risen to the top of the league by defeating Brigade Boys Club (BBC) in the Martyrs’ Memorial A Division League match played today.

Manang beat BBC by 1-0 in a match played at Pokhara Stadium. Manang is at the top of the league with 16 points while Machhindra Football Club is at the second position with 14 points.

Three Star Club has risen to the fifth position of the league with 10 points after defeating Jawalakhel Youth Club in another match of the Martyrs’ Memorial A Division League held at Dasharath Stadium today. Jawalakhel is at the ninth position with 7 points.

At this stage, the team at the top of the table will get to play in the AFC Cup.
