Action taken against 22 insurance companies

The Insurance Committee has taken action against 22 insurance companies for not submitting their annual audit reports on time.

According to the Insurance Act 2049 and Insurance Rules, 2049, companies are required to submit audit report within 10 months from the end of each financial year. The Insurance Committee has decided to fine the insurance company at the rate of Rs 10,000 to Rs 10,500 for not submitting the audit report.
