Locals of Madhyapurthimi area are celebrating Sindur Jatra today.

Sindur Jatra is one of the major and Centuries-old tradition of bhaktapur which is celebrated every year on the 2nd of Baisakh.This festival is called Suthah Sia in the local language.

People carry chariots of Hindu gods and goddesses and go around the house of the deity at Digutol. People put red vermilion onto each-other on the occassion.
