Secondary Education Examination (SEE) started today

The Secondary Education Examination (SEE), which has not been held for two years due to the corona epidemic, has started from today. In the academic session 2076 and 2077, the results were made public by the National Examination Board on the basis of school evaluation. This time, on the basis of the question paper prepared by the board, the students are taking the exam from a certain examination center like two years ago. 514,760 students are participating in 2,007 examination centers across the country.

4,88,742 are appearing for the regular examination and 11,454 for the grade promotion. The students taking the grade promotion exam are from two years ago. In the last two years, when the results were published on the basis of internal assessment, there was no opportunity for grade promotion. 14,564 students from 299 technical schools are also participating.
The board has stated that the results will be made public before the start of the academic session of class 11 from July 17. The board has given the responsibility of sending the answer scripts to the states after completing the work of examination and review. The State Board will work in coordination with the State Office. There will be an examination coordination committee under the coordination of the secretary of the ministry of social development and a district examination coordination committee under the chairmanship of the chief district officer in the district.

No age limit to appear in SEE Examination

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has amended the Education Act so that there is no age limit in SEE. Accordingly, students of any age will be considered eligible to appear for the Secondary Education Examination Class 10 (SEE) examination to be held on April 22.

Earlier, there was an arrangement to have SLC in class 10. Due to the government system, only those who have reached the age of 14 can get SLC in the past according to the Education Act, but now there is a provision of SLC i.e. school living in class 12. However, many students were in trouble due to the 2028 provision in the Education Act.

Stating that this provision has caused problems to many students, the ministry has removed the age limit of SEE in the Act. The Ministry has removed the age threshold by amending clause (d) and (g) of section 2 of the Education Act, sub-rule 82 of rule 78 of the Education Rules 2049.

According to the National Examination Board (NEB), the age threshold has been removed in the upcoming SEE due to the age limit of 14 years in SEE, which deprives many students from taking the exam, keeping the results withheld even after passing the exam and raising the age later.
