Members demand to convene ANFA working committee meeting

Kathmandu – Four members, including ANFA Senior Vice President Bir Bahadur Khadka and two Vice Presidents Dirgha Bahadur KC and Birat Jung Shahi, have demanded to convene an working committee meeting of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).

According to Article 39 of the ANFA statute, there is a provision that the working committee must held a meeting four times in a year, but they have submitted a letter demanding to convene the meeting, saying that the meeting has not been held for a long time and that arbitrary and unconstitutional activities are being carried out in the conduct of business.

In the letter, they have requested to convene a meeting to discuss and decide on eight different points by exercising their legal authority.

ANFA working committee meeting to discuss player-coach dispute

The working committee meeting of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) is being held today.ANFA meetings will be held on the issues of controversy in Nepali football team .
According to ANFA General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar, the meeting will be held at 2 pm. ANFA has already written to the elected working committee officials for the meeting. Tuladhar said that a meeting will be held to discuss about the issues in the national football team.

The controversy that erupted after head coach Abdullah Almutairi removed 10 players who were in closed training in preparation for the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers has not been resolved even after two weeks.

Since then, the players have been demanding an impartial investigation into the matter. Officials including the senior vice-chairman of ANFA have also sent a letter to ANFA to hold a working committee meeting.
