A meeting between the top leaders of the ruling coalition is scheduled to be held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar today to discuss the date of local elections.
A meeting of the coalition is scheduled at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar at 9 am today, said Rastriya Janamorcha vice-chairperson Durga Poudel. It is said that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has called a meeting to discuss the date of local elections while the Election Commission is pressuring the government to announce the date of local elections. A meeting between the top leaders of the ruling parties at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar yesterday also discussed the issue of local elections but the discussion ended without reaching any conclusion.
