April 20-Surkhet – 2 people were killed and 8 people were injured when the under-construction bridge connecting Tallubagar in Jajarkot and Athabiskot in Rukum West under the Jajarkot-Dolpa road section collapsed.

Surkhet police officials said that after the bridge was broken, two laborers working on the bridge construction died and three people who were walking on the bridge fell into the river and went missing. The police also said that the treatment of 8 other people who were injured in the bridge collapse is ongoing and the search for the three missing people is going on too.
