CAN Youth Cup to be held in preparation for U-19 World Cup qualifiers

Kathmandu – The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) is going to organize the Youth Cup in preparation for the ICC U-19 World Cup Asia qualifiers to be held in Nepal next April.

The Youth Cup will be held at the Extratech Oval Cricket Ground in Bhairahawa from Magh15 to 22. For this, 36 U-19 players who were initially included in the closed camp will be included in three teams.

The three teams have been named Nepal U-19 Red, Nepal U-19 Green and Nepal U-19 Blue. A double round robin league will be played between these teams.

The Asia qualifiers for the U-19 Men’s World Cup are being held in Nepal from April 12 to 21. The top team in the qualifiers, which will include Nepal, Afghanistan, Oman, UAE and Hong Kong, will qualify for the U-19 World Cup in 2026.

Among the U-19 male players selected in the first round are Abhishek Tiwari, Dilsad Ali, Sohail Kunwar, Naren Bhatt, Suryansu Koirala, Roshan Vishwakarma, Santosh Yadav, Dayanand Mandal, Aparajit Paudel, Sibrin Shrestha, Rajesh Bohra, Neeraj Kumar Yadav, Afrudin Ren, Saujan Prasad Ghimire, Deepak Serla, Yuvraj Khatri, Ashish Luhar, Sachin Bhatt, Ruhul Haque, Chandan Ram, Kritik Kamat, Bipin Prasad Sharma, Prateek Pokharel, Sahil Patel, Rohan Shah, Arabin Gharti, Rohit Chand, Sudip Aryal, Darsh Sonar, Kshitij Thapa Magar, Amar Mishra, Bhopal Dangal, Ashok Dhami, Nitis Patel, Asik Rana Magar and Nitesh Kumar.
