Citizenship Bill should be repealed: Rastriya Janmorcha

While the top leaders of the coalition parties are continuing to discuss the Citizenship Bill and the President’s actions with legal experts, the Rastriya Janmorcha has said that they want the Citizenship Bill to be repealed.

Rashtriya Jan Morcha President Chitra Bahadur KC has said that he is more interested in the dismissal of the Citizenship Bill than the steps taken by the President regarding the Citizenship Bill.

KC said that despite joining the alliance, it is not logical that all the steps of the alliance should be followed. “We also opposed the decision of the alliance regarding the MCC and we have a different opinion on the citizenship bill, our party does not agree on this,” KC said.

He said that the Rastriya Janmorcha does not support on giving citizenship to foreigners on the basis of descent.

Earlier, the Rastriya Janmorcha said that their party members did not participate in the meeting of the coalition held at Baluwatar and did not sign the statement signed by the four top leaders of the ruling party.
