The deadline of the Parliamentary Special Inquiry Committee formed to investigate Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma has been extended by 7 days.

Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota extended the term of the parliamentary special investigation committee by 7 days after the meeting approved the proposal made in the House of Representatives. Earlier, a 10-day deadline was given to the committee formed to investigate the matter of unauthorized persons entering the ministry and changing the tax rate to benefit limited individuals and organizations during the preparation of the budget for the financial year 2079-80.

Earlier,Secretary of the committee Surendra Aryal requested to extend the deadline as the investigation was not completed.
