Demonstration in front of the Prime Minister’s residence demanding punishment for the rapist

Demonstration has taken place in front of the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar demanding action against the perpetrators of sexual violence against a teenager participating in a beauty pageant.

The youths have spontaneously staged a sit-in in front of the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar by launching a campaign in the name of ‘Occupy Baluwatar’ to demand justice for the girl who was raped in the name of beauty pageant eight years ago.

The victim had revealed on social media that a beauty pageant organizer had raped her after she was unconscious with a drink given by the organizer.

They have also demanded the removal of the time limit on serious issues like rape in the demonstration which started demanding not to weaken the morale of the victim and punish the accused.
