FBI confirms death of hit-and-run driver in New Orleans

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has confirmed the death of a hit-and-run driver in New Orleans (Louisiana), who rammed his vehicle into a crowd.

In the morning, a man steered a vehicle into a crowd on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. The attacker offered resistance to police. He is dead. The FBI is working with partners to look into the details of this terrorist attack, NBC News quotes the FBI as saying. Earlier it was reported that after stopping the car the attacker opened fire on police.

Before that, law enforcement agencies confirmed that on New Year’s Eve, an unknown person drove a car into a crowd of pedestrians in the center of New Orleans. According to the latest information, at least 10 people were killed and 31 others were injured.
