The forest fire has been completely brought under control after a week. Although the area where the fire could spread has been completely controlled, the fire in the ravines and in some places, the stumps of old big trees are still burning, said Bhagwan Adhikari, chairman of Bethanchok rural municipality.

Similarly, according to the District Forest Office, Kavre, nearly 100 hectares of forest in 5 community forests of Khanikhola rural municipality and Bethanchok rural municipality have been destroyed by the fire.

Similarly, the fire in Dharapani and Chapanigadhi community forests in Bhumlu-4 Chaubas has also been completely brought under control, according to the District Forest Office, Kavre.
