Kathmandu- A gas cylinder explosion has occurred at a Sandar Mo:Mo shop in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu.

At least 14 people have been injured in the explosion that took place at 8:45 am this morning. 11 of the injured have been taken to the hospital while three are in a normal condition.

Police have said that one of the injured, Sanjog Magar, 24, of Udayapur, is seriously injured. Five of the injured have been taken to the Burn Hospital in Kirtipur.

The ceiling of the house collapsed after the cylinder explosion. Police have said that search operations are ongoing there. The Nepal Police Disaster Management Team and Maligaun Police Team have been deployed at the scene.
