Kathmandu- The Maoist Center is going to start a postal highway-focused campaign from Kachanakawal Rural Municipality of Jhapa from Falgun 3.
The campaign starting from Kachanakawal will last for 6 months. The Maoists have stated that this postal highway-focused campaign will be nationwide.
The campaign starting from Kachanakawal will reach Mahakali and then focus on Madan Bhandari Highway again. After that, the Maoists are preparing to reach the foothills of Mount Everest in Solukhumbu and conclude the campaign.
The fifth plenary meeting of the Maoist Center Jhapa has also divided the work for the postal highway-focused campaign. Currently, programs ranging from mobilizing party workers to holding village-town conventions are underway, informed the party’s District Secretary Mohan Tudu.
The party’s Deputy General Secretary Haribol Gajurel said that the campaign is going to start from Jhapa as per the party’s central program.
He also claimed that this campaign will strengthen the party by removing contradictions within the party. “The weakness of the leaders is not the only reason for the party’s weakness,” he said. “The party has become weak due to political errors. We will now correct them and move forward.”
In the meeting, party central members Dharmashila Chapagain and Indra Bahadur Angbo claimed that the Maoist party has been gaining popularity in recent times. They stressed that the party should work in the areas of production and employment.
Central member and Jhapa in-charge Jhalak Singh Darlami said that a special campaign is being launched to strengthen the party.
