Melamchi water supply will be stopped from May 19 to 29

May 15, Kathmandu – The Melamchi water supply project is going to stop the water being distributed from the Melamchi tunnel for 10 days from the 19th of May to the 29.

According to the Melamchi Water Development Committee, Melamchi Water Development Committee is going to close the Melamchi Tunnel for 10 days for the construction and improvement of structures including Gate No. 1 and 9 at the Ambathan Status Headwalk and the connection of the mechanical part in the tunnel.

It is also said that the equipment is going to be installed to prevent further damage to the project due to the possible natural disaster that may occur during the rainy season and the schedule of water distribution in Kathmandu Valley will be changed during the period of 10 days. The water distribution schedule has been published through the Kathmandu Valley Water Supply website and the Facebook page of the branch offices.
