Mexico and US selected for the World Cup 2022

Mexico and the United States have been selected in the World Cup 2022.Mexico beat El Salvador by 2-0 to qualify for the World Cup 2022.

The United States qualified for the World Cup even after losing 2-0 to Costa Rica in the final match of the North American region selection. Costa Rica, who won the game against the United States left behind by a goal difference.

Despite the same 25 points, the goal difference of USA was 11 and that of Costa Rica was 5. Costa Rica would have secured a place in the World Cup if they had scored four more goals in this game. Costa Rica will now have to compete with New Zealand in the Oceania region in the World Cup qualifiers.

In addition, 29 nations have been selected for the 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup. Qatar has been directly selected as the host nation while the remaining 28 teams have qualified for the World Cup.

Now 3 teams are left to decide.

The top 13 teams from Europe will play in the World Cup. Twelve teams from Europe have been selected for the Qatar World Cup. Due to tensions between Russia and Ukraine, a team from Europe is yet to be selected. Another two teams will be selected from the same intercontinental playoff.

Similarly, 5 teams from Africa, 4-4 from Asia and South America and 3 teams from North America have secured places in the World Cup.

Africa: Ghana, Senegal, Tunisia, Morocco, Cameroon

North America: Canada, Mexico, USA
