More than 17.7 million voters in the upcoming local elections

There will be more than 17.7 million voters in the upcoming local elections.

The Election Commission (EC) has finalized the voter list on Sunday.

Out of which 89 lakh 92 thousand 10 are males, 87 lakh 41 thousand 530 are females and 183 are others.

According to Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari, the highest number of voters is 715,223 in Morang and the lowest is 6,496 in Manang.

According to the election commission the number of voters has increased by 3.6 million in five years.In the local level election held in 2074 BS, there were 14 million 74 thousand 424 voters.

According to the Information Officer of the Commission, Surya Prasad Aryal, the final list of voters has been fixed by collecting the number of voters from all the districts and giving them an opportunity to discuss, protest and correct their claims.

The number of voters in the House of Representatives and State Assembly elections of 2074 BS was 15.4 million.

On the basis of the election to the House of Representatives and the State Assembly in 2074 BS, the number of voters has increased by 2.3 million.
