Nepal Army helicopter sent to rescue the 34 people of Jumla trapped in the snow had returned empty. Those people from Jumla had gone to collect the herbs called Setak Chini about two weeks ago.

A Nepal Army helicopter that went to the rescue failed to land due to heavy snowfall. As there was no place to land due to the bad weather, the Nepal Army helicopter that went to rescue them dropped the food and returned.
According to the rescue squad, those people trapped in the snow were living in temporary tents and are safe.
The rescuer said that the necessary foods have been dropped off for the stranded.
According to the local authorities, It is impossible for them to return immediately but if they do not return even after the snow has stopped, necessary preparations will be made for their rescue.

Two people have died of extreme cold due to heavy snowfall while returning after collecting the herbs.
The deceased have been identified as Mun Rawat, 46, of Bargaon, Tatopani-7 and Devi Shahi, 37, of Bargaun, according to the District Police Office, Jumla.
