‘No Cable Car Group’ forms negotiation committee

Taplejung — The ‘No Cable Car Group’ has formed a four-member negotiation facilitation committee to hold talks with the negotiation committee formed by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The negotiation committee formed by the No Cable Car Group, coordinated by Amar Tumyahang, has four members, including Ram Maden, Shankar Limbu, and Saru Singh.

Khagendra Phembu Limbu, coordinator of the Cable Car Abolition Joint Struggle Committee, said that this committee will create an environment for coordination for negotiations, but they have also said that decisions made by the government at the level of joint secretary may not be implemented.

The group has taken a stand that construction work should be suspended before sitting for talks, three people including the arrested Pradeep Maden should be released, and that security personnel should be withdrawn from the construction area.
