Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has given the responsibility of party spokesperson to central committee member Prakash Sharan Mahat. Mahat was defeated in the 14th General Convention for the post of General Secretary from deuba panel.
After that, Chairman Deuba nominated him as a central committee member. It is customary to appoint a spokesperson from among the central members.
According to a Congress party office source, Deuba appointed Mahat as the party’s spokesperson today.
