Prime Minister pays tribute to martyrs

Kathmandu – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has paid tribute to the martyrs.

On the occasion of Martyrs’ Day, he visited the Martyrs’ Memorial and Martyrs’ Gate in Lainchaur and offered wreaths at the statues of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of democracy and sovereignty of the country.

Along with Prime Minister Oli, Deputy Prime Ministers, ministers, MPs of various political parties, Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal, Chief of Security Agencies and others have also paid tribute to the martyrs.

Today, Martyrs’ Day is being celebrated across the country by organizing various programs in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the establishment and restoration of democracy and freedom in various periods.

Martyrs’ Day has been celebrated every year on 16 Magh with various programs since 2007 BS.
