Sher Bahadur Tamang and Bhim Rawal of the CPN-UML and Prem Suwal of the Nepal Mazdoor Kisan Party (NMKP) have registered notices of protest against the Citizenship Bill.

The lawmakers have registered a notice of protest even before the discussion on the citizenship bill in the parliament.

The lawmakers have opposed the new bill saying that it was the negligence of the State Management Committee to withdraw the bill and bring a new one after the State Management Committee had submitted its report after extensive discussions.
