The government has reduced the fare of public transport after the Oil Corporation reduced the price of petroleum products with effect from Saturday midnight.
Under the provision of automatic adjustment of fares in case of changes in fuel price by 5 percent or more, the fare of passenger vehicles has been reduced by 5.41 percent, freight vehicles on hilly roads by 6.97 percent and freight vehicles on Terai roads by 7.68 percent.
