July 4, Kathmandu- Singer and actor Robin Tamang has passed away.

Robin , the main vocalist of Robin and the Revolution Band, passed away on Tuesday evening at his residence in Budhanilkanth.

Now, Robin’s body has been kept at the Teaching Hospital Maharajgunj for post-mortem. On Tuesday evening, after Robin’s sister Bhagwati informed the police about the death of singer Tamang, the police reached his residence. However, no information has been received so far about the cause of his death.

Born in Singapore, Robin started his musical journey in Nepal as the main vocalist of a musical band called “Robin and the New Revolution”. His songs ‘Dum Maro Dum’ and ‘Ketaketi’ had become very popular among Nepalese youth. He has also acted in about a dozen Nepali movies including Mukhauta and Chadke. He has made a special contribution to the field of Nepali rock singing.
