State and federal elections immediately after local elections: PM Deuba

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the government is committed to hold the state and federal elections immediately after the local level elections.

Stating that the local level election is going to be held soon, Prime Minister Deuba said that the government has a plan to strengthen the system of governance of the country by the people’s elected representatives by holding it in a fair, free and fearless environment.

Addressing a special function organized at the Military Forum in Kathmandu on Saturday on the occasion of the 72nd Democracy Day, he claimed that the government has achieved remarkable success in controlling the outbreak of Covid 19.

Stating that the government is making every effort to control the epidemic by expanding and strengthening the health infrastructure services and to keep the economy afloat, Prime Minister Deuba also expressed confidence that the epidemic could be overcome soon with the concerted efforts of all.

Prime Minister Deuba also said that the government wants economic development and transformation for the rapid development of the country. On the occasion, he also wished that the Democracy Day would inspire all to realize the dream of making beautiful Nepal.
