Talks held between the government and Mahabir Pun

April 30, Kathmandu – The government has advanced talks with Mahabir Pun, the founder of the National Innovation Center, who started a sit-in at Maitighar on Friday, saying that the government has neglected research and innovation in the country.

Negotiations between Mahavir Pun and the government have started with 4 points including research, and innovation. In the talks started under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Purna Bahadur Khadka, both sides agreed to form a formal negotiation team and seek agreement to meet the demands of the movement.

Stating that the parliamentarians were neglecting to enact laws to advance the country in the field of innovation, Earlier Pun announced that he would lie down on the streets and stage a protest until his demands were met.
