After a long effort, the state government has finalized the name of Province 2 as Madhes.
The government of Province 2 has changed the name of Province 2 to Madhes. Polls were taken for Madhes Pradesh, Madhya Madhes, Janaki and Mithila Bhojpura. Out of the 99 MPs present, 80 voted for Madhes. Announcing the results of the polls, Speaker Saroj Kumar Yadav announced that the name of Province 2 would be Madhes.
Janakpur was made the capital of Province 2 from the voting process held earlier today.
