Kathmandu — Tribhuvan University (TU) has postponed bachelor-level examinations that were scheduled for September 9, 10, and 11 (Bhadra 24–26).
According to the TU Examination Controller’s Office, Balkhu, the postponed exams are part of the four-year bachelor’s second-year (partial and chance) examinations that began on September 7. The exams originally set for 7–10 AM and 12–3 PM on the affected dates will not take place as scheduled.
The Central Examination Board decided on Monday to postpone the exams, citing the emergency and unstable situation in the country. TU stated that the postponed exams will now be held on September 18, 20, and 21 (Ashoj 2, 4, and 5) at the same time and in the same examination centers.
The decision follows Monday’s Gen Z protest, which resulted in significant casualties and injuries, prompting curfew orders across the Kathmandu Valley and other regions.
