Three-member investigation committee formed to further investigate the incident of assault with TIA immigration officials

KATHMANDU – The Ministry of Home Affairs has formed a three-member investigation committee to further investigate the matter of the assault of the immigration officers by the police assigned to provide security at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has formed a three-member inquiry committee under the coordination of Joint Secretary Thaneshwar Gautam. DIG of Police Rajeshnath Bastola and Deputy Home Secretary Kool Bahadur GC are in the committee. It is said that the committee has been instructed to submit a report with facts within 3 days.

After the incident of assault, a discussion was held between Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha, Home Secretary Dinesh Bhattarai, Director General of Immigration Department Rudrasinh Tamang, Head of TIA Immigration Office Gogan Bahadur Hamal and others.
