Kathmandu – Health workers, including doctors, have been assaulted at Bir Hospital.

The attack on health workers, including doctors, was reported at 4:30 pm on Friday in the hospital’s operating room, according to hospital director Dr. Santosh Poudel.

Professor Dr. Sharad Pokharel and Sanumaya Magar, who were deployed in the surgical service, and other health workers were attacked.

The hospital has stated that 21-year-old Ramchandra Khadka of Gokulganga Rural Municipality-6 in Ramechhap was involved in the incident. Director Poudel has demanded that he be taken to the fullest extent of the law.
