The Election Commission has amended the Local Level Election Code of Conduct 2078 to allow publicity on social media.

According to the spokesperson of the commission, Shaligram Sharma Poudel, the party will be able to express its views and principles from the official page. However, no candidate can be humiliated. The election code of conduct 2078 will be implemented from today midnight until the election is completed.

Earlier,CPN-UML had also written a letter to the commission expressing disagreement on six issues of the election code of conduct. Based on that, it has been said that the issue of publicity through social media may have been modified.
