Kathmandu -The government has registered a school education bill in the parliament to implement the education system according to federalism. In the bill, the local level has been given the right to establish, operate and allow additional levels of schools.
In the bill registered by Education, Science and Technology Minister Ashok Kumar Rai, it has been proposed that there will be no Secondary Education Examination (SEE) and if the bill is passed as it is, the National Examination Board will conduct only the class 12 examination.
In the registered bill, the 44,000 relief teachers who are currently teaching will be allowed to take an internal exam and if they fail, the government will give them a certain amount of money to send them off. The bill has also proposed to have a special category for teachers.
Earlier, the process of choosing the chairman of the school management committee in the presence of public representatives has been removed, and the provision has been made that the chairman of the school management committee can be chosen only from parents of the school children.
