A fire broke out in the Data Center (Disaster Recovery Center) in Hetauda, which stores government information and statistics.

The fire was reportedly caused by a battery explosion in the disaster recovery centre. District Police Office Makwanpur has informed that fire control efforts are continuing.

The police said that efforts to extinguish the fire are ongoing and as the fire has not been fully controlled, it is not possible to estimate how much damage has been caused by the fire.

It is said that the online services and information systems of the government and subordinate agencies may be affected due to the fire.
