Government directs to submit seven plans to improve governance

The government led by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has directed the subordinate bodies to submit seven different plans to improve governance.

The government has instructed to submit a plan to improve the federal democratic republican system of governance. The National Planning Commission, the upper body that advises the government on development planning and policy formulation, has determined seven issues to be included in the annual program (budget) of the coming fiscal year.

The Commission has directed to give utmost importance to the goal of building a virtuous society with ‘zero tolerance against corruption’ in governance programs. The Commission has asked to propose a program to make the working body capable, strong and accountable to build such a society.

The commission has also directed to propose programs to remove possible unrest in urban areas.

The commission has directed to propose programs to strengthen the security forces and make the coordination effective in order to maintain overall peace and security and assess possible unrest and conflict in the urban areas.
