Nepalgunj Medical College, located in Kohalpur, Banke, has stopped dialysis services for patients due to a lack of funds from the government.

According to the hospital, the service had to be stopped after the Ministry of Health did not send for 14 months. Nepalgunj Medical College, which has been doing dialysis for 18 to 20 people daily, has stopped the service, and the patients are in trouble now.

When a patient undergoes dialysis, they get free service at the rate of 2500 rupees and the government has to provide that amount to the hospital. But as the government did not provide funds on time, the patients were deprived of services because they could not purchase the necessary equipment and continue the treatment, the hospital said.
However, the hospital said that it will start the service this evening after they have been able to order supplies. But those supplies can only treat the limited number of patients and hardly last for week.
