Home Minister orders CIB to resume Politically blocked cases

Kathmandu – Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has directed the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police to move forward with all cases that had been stalled due to political influence.

During his inspection of the CIB office, Aryal instructed newly appointed CIB Chief AIG Manoj KC to ensure impartial investigations into major cases. He said resuming files blocked by political pressure would mark a “breakthrough.”

“Cases that were halted or disrupted because of political connections will no longer remain so,” Aryal stated. He emphasized that the government’s mandate is good governance, adding that peace and security cannot exist without it, and free and fair elections within six months would not be possible otherwise.
