It is tough to work when the bills are held in the parliamentary committee: Prime Minister

Kathmandu – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, in a meeting with CPN-UML Chief Whip Mahesh Bartaula on the eve of the winter session of the federal parliament, has said that it is inconvenient and tough for the government to work when the bills are held in the parliamentary committee.

Bartaula who had a meeting earlier with Prime Minister Oli, who is also the leader of the UML parliamentary party,informed that the issue of moving forward the bills under consideration in the parliament was discussed during the meeting.

Bartaula said that Prime Minister Oli has said that when the government sends a bill to the parliament, it intends to convert it into an act soon, but in practice, that is not happening. Bartaula said that Prime Minister Oli has also instructed him to play a role in preventing the bill from being held in the parliament in the coming days.

The winter session of the federal parliament is starting from Magh 18. He said that Prime Minister Oli also wants the current session to be amicable.
