Leader Jhala Nath Khanal has accused the Oli government of hiding the MCC subsidiary agreement.
Former Prime Minister KP Oli had formed a task force to study the MCC agreement after widespread protests against MCC. A three-member task force convened by Jhala Nath Khanal, comprising Bhim Rawal and Pradip Gyawali, requested Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Foreign Minister Pradip Gyawali to provide the MCC subsidiary agreement. But no MCC subsidiary agreement document was provided to the task force.
However, the three-member of MCC agreement study task force formed by the Deuba government comprising Jhala Nath Khanal, Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has not been able to submit any report even the current coalition government has provided all the subsidiary documents.
Even in the alliance, the Maoist Center, the Unified Socialist Party and the Rastriya Janamorcha are in favor of not moving the MCC forward immediately, while JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav and Baburam Bhattarai are in favor of passing the MCC.
