Maoist unification is possible if an agreement is reached to return encroached Nepali lands and abolish MCC: CP Gajurel

CPN (Revolutionary Maoist) leader CP Gajurel has said that unification among the former Maoists would be possible only if the Central Committee commitment before the Maoist people’s war will be restored.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the 8th National General Convention of the CPN (Maoist Center) on Sunday, Gajurel said that he had taken the unity of the former Maoists in a positive way but for that the commitments made by the Central Committee before the People’s War should be fulfilled.

He said that the goal of the People’s War was incomplete and that unity could be achieved if the General Convention insisted on repealing the MCC. He also said that they would be positive for unity if the Maoist centre expressed its commitment to take back the encroached Nepali lands including Kalapani, Lipulek and Limpiyadhura.
