Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has claimed that MCC is not Treason and has requested to respond about MCC only after reading it first.

Addressing the eighth general convention of the CPN-Maoist Center, Deuba urged the people to speak only after studying the MCC. He said, “If MCC is treason, then I don’t want it either.”

He also said that he had been fighting for Nepal’s nationality for a long time and would not sign any treaty that would betray the nation. “I am also the Prime Minister of Nepal. He also expressed the confidence that the MCC would be passed by consensus.
