Nijgadh Airport to be built by removing the legal hurdles

The International Relations Committee of the Parliament has directed the government to move ahead with the construction of Nijgadh International Airport by removing the legal hurdles.

Despite the Supreme Court order not to build Nijgadh Airport and to study its alternative arrangements, the government has included Nijgadh International Airport in its budget for the fiscal year 2079/80. A meeting of the International Relations Committee of the Parliament has directed the government to expedite the construction of the airport by removing the legal hurdles as soon as the budget includes Nijgadh Airport.

The committee has concluded that the decision to stop the construction of Nijgadh International Airport is not appropriate from any point of view.
