One killed in Chinese military plane crash

At least one person was killed when a Chinese military plane crashed in a residential area of ​​central China on Thursday, China’s state-run national broadcaster CCTV reported.

During the training, a People’s Liberation Army Air Force J-7 crashed in Hubei province, damaging several homes, CCTV reported.
One person was killed and two others were injured in the accident.
The pilot, who sustained minor injuries, successfully parachuted out of the plane before the crash, according to Xinhua.

The pilot and injured civilians have been sent to hospital for treatment.
Videos posted on social media show some homes on fire due to an accident near Laohekau Airport in Xiangyang, Hubei Province. The cause of the accident and related damage are being investigated.
