Parliament sitting adjourned in protest of Law Minister Badu’s remarks

CPN-UML has blocked the parliament after Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Dilendra Prasad Badu termed the remarks made by CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli as gradeless and baseless .

CPN-UML lawmakers had blocked the house after Minister Badu termed the remarks made by leader KP Sharma Oli during the discussion on the policy and program as baseless and said that Mr.Oli could not see anything except the commission as he used to do so before he lost the prime ministerial power.

CPN-UML Chief Whip Vishal Bhattarai demanded that the statement be removed from the record. The main opposition party, the CPN-UML, has also challenged the formation of a parliamentary inquiry committee to confirm the allegations. After the UML’s obstruction, the parliament sitting has been postponed.
