Kathmandu: The construction of the cable car in Mukkumlung Pathibhara in Taplejung district has been suspended. The construction work has been stopped after an agreement was reached on the dispute over the construction of the cable car.
On Tuesday night, talks were held between the Home Ministry’s negotiation team and representatives of the team opposing the construction of the cable car. A six-point agreement was reached in the talks.
The agreement states that the construction work on the Pathibhara cable car station will be suspended and detailed discussions will be held in the talks to be held on Magh 27.
The agreement includes issues such as providing free and effective medical treatment to those injured during the protest, investigating the incident on Magh 12 and taking legal action, initiating the process of unconditionally releasing those detained during the protest, and suspending the indefinite transport shutdown by the Mukkumlung protectors.
A detailed discussion on the disagreements and other issues related to the construction of the Pathibhara Cable Car Project has been scheduled for 11 am on Magh 27.
