Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has been re-elected as the Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center. Newly-elected Central Committee of the party unanimously elected Dahal as the chairman of the party.

Meanwhile, the Central Committee members elected by the 8th National General Convention of the Maoist Center have taken an oath of office and secrecy today. In the first meeting of the Central Committee, the newly elected members and officials of the Commission were administered the oath of office and secrecy by the Chairman of the Election Commission, Bishnu Pukar Shrestha. It is said that the remaining central members and office bearers have agreed to finalize the next meeting
