President urges Prime Minister Deuba to move ahead with timely election

President Vidya Devi Bhandari has urged Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to move ahead with the election process as soon as possible according to the spirit of the constitution.

During a regular meeting between President Vidyadevi Bhandari and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba at Shital Niwas today, President Bhandari has urged Prime Minister Deuba to move ahead by holding timely elections.

In response, Prime Minister Deuba has expressed his commitment to hold local elections on time in consultation with all parties. During today’s regular meeting, it is said that current political issues including the National Assembly election held yesterday and ending the stalemate in the parliament were discussed.
