Prince Edward administered the oath of office and secrecy to new recruits in the British Army

Pokhara – Britain’s Prince Edward, who is on a visit to Nepal, has administered the oath of office and secrecy to 274 Nepali new recruits in the British Army.

After reciting the Swastishanti mantra according to Hindu scriptures, the duke and duchess of Edinburgh administered the oath to the Nepali soldiers at a ceremony organized at the British Camp in Pokhara. They also presented medals to British ex-servicemen who had served for a long time.
Prince Edward and his wife arrived in Kathmandu last Tuesday on a private visit. They will return home on Magh 27.
