Chairman of the UCPN (M) Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the constitution should be amended to name the states on the basis of identity. He also mentioned that he would agitate for the amendment of the constitution.

He said that they had raised the issue of identity and rights before, but since it could not be implemented they would raise the issue again. Addressing a conference of the pro-Maoist Magar Rastriya Mukti Morcha in the capital on Friday, he said, “The rights of the oppressed community have not been enshrined in this constitution.”
